Amália Live in Paris is an album that brings together the best of Amália's recordings live in the famous Paris concert halls, at the Olympia in April, 1956 and at the Bobino in February 22, 1960. In both concerts Amália performed many of her greatest hits and relied on the accompaniment of excellence of Domingos Camarinha on the Portuguese guitar and Santos Moreira on the fado guitar. Such was the success that the musicians in that period also recorded on their own the instrumental album entitled "Guitarras Portuguesas".

Amália had a special affection for France, which she considered her second home and where she performed in many shows throughout her career, particularly in Paris where the art scene teemed and of which Amália was part. At that time, she met several personalities from the entertainment business and collaborated with some of them, as it was the case of Charles Aznavour, who wrote the hit "Ay, mourir pour toi" for her.

These 25 recordings are truly historical archives that represent an important milestone in the brilliant career of the greatest Portuguese singer ever.
